Apertio One-HSS
Apertio One-HSS (Home Subscriber Server) is a single, logical Home Subscriber Server that delivers the platform to allow mobile, fixed and converged operators to support mobility for IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem), UMA (Unlicensed Mobile Access) and other next generation IP services.
One-HSS is built on a higly distributed, replicated architecture, providing excellent reliability and up to 10 times better performance than that of traditional switched and fault-tolerant hardware based systems. Because the architecture separates transaction and data processing, the solution allows new signalling and transaction capacity to be added without requiring an increase of subscriber data storage capacity, and vice versa. This architecture enables scaling from a few 100 to 100 million subscribers.
It simplifies the configuration of STP, Diameter Proxies, and Redirect Agents configured with subscriber routing data by presenting a single logical directory to external systems, ensuring HSS administration remains straightforward and efficient as the network grows.
One-HSS provides large CSPs (Communication Service Providers) with the ability to serve high traffic rates with fast, reliable responses to every transaction, and is configurable to run on a single UNIX or Linux server to deliver a cost effective entry level system for emerging or virtual operators.
Apertio can deliver its One-HSS as a software migration from the One-HLR or as a standalone application, running in tandem with existing legacy HLRs and AuCs, to reduce data migration and programme management complexity.
