Apertio Recognised as one of UK’s Top Tech Firms

Bristol, UK, 30th October 2007: Apertio, the leading provider of subscriber-centric networks, today announces it has maintained its position as one of the fastest growing private tech companies in the UK - according to figures released in the seventh annual Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track100 league table.

This is the second year running that Apertio has been named in the survey - and since the 2006 results, it has doubled its customer based to over 30 global communication service providers.

The announcement comes after a year of rapid growth, which saw widespread adoption of its Apertio-One product suite by operators across the globe - including its first customer in Australasia, the acquisition of German telecoms software firm, Netzwert, and the continued expansion of its partner ecosystem with a landmark deal with ZTE, China’s largest listed telecoms solution provider. Continuing its commitment to drive forward, Apertio also named Michael Jackson, former chairman of Sage, as its new non-executive chairman.

Established in 2002, Apertio has expanded rapidly, as the world’s leading telecommunications operators adopt its technology. With offices around the world and a customer base to match, Apertio lists T-Mobile, Three, Vodafone, Bharti and AIS amongst adopters of its subscriber-centric network architecture.

"As a relatively young company, growth is essential to laying a strong foundation for our future," said Paul Magelli, chief executive officer of Apertio. "The past year has seen our global reach spread, with new offices in Beijing, Chicago and Berlin, and our customer base has more than doubled to include over 30 of the world’s largest and fastest growing communication service providers. We’re delighted to be named amongst the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 again this year. It is a testament to our hard work and the UK’s burgeoning tech economy."
