Position located in: Apertio/Nokia Siemens Networks, Emersons Green, Bristol.
Reporting to: Training Manager

Main Job Objective

To develop and deliver support, development, and implementation courses for each of the NSNs products.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver training courses to NSNs customers and partners globally
• Develop training courses for NSNs products
• Review documentation and training courses developed by other team members

Secondary responsibilities

As part of the training group, the following is expected of team members:

• Aid the test and support team by:
• Training and mentoring new team members
• Provide assistance with test documentation and execution
• Provide assistance for 2^nd/3rd line product support
• Deliver training to NSN staff globally
• On-going review and enhancement of training quality procedures

Person Specification

Essential Technical Skills:

• IT/Engineering Qualification
• UNIX as a very skilled user or to support level

Experience in at least one of the following:

• X500
• LDAP
• Mobile Telecoms Telecoms Technologies (GSM, SS7 and GPRS)

Essential Training Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of delivering technical training courses on real-time platforms
• Minimum 1 year of developing documentation (eg training courses, user guides, technical manuals)

• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Able to work with minimum supervision
• Excellent presentation, facilitation and group management skills
• Methodical and logical approach to planning and troubleshooting
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Skilled at handling difficult people
• Ability to work in a team
• Enthusiastic and eager to learn new technologies and processes

Desirable Skills:

• Previous test and/or support experience
• Previous deployment/implementation experience
• Previous development experience in C
• Experience of distributed databases
• Scripting skills
