CONS107 - Principal Consultant

Position located in: Apertio/Nokia Siemens Networks, Emersons Green, Bristol.

Frequent deployment to customers sites primarily in EMEA although NSN does have a global customer base.

Recruiting Requirement

Recently acquired by NSN, there are plans to rapidly expand our business, which has resulted in the need to recruit additional experienced Principal Consultants/ Service Designers.

Functional Experience

  • Design, plan and implement services in communications networks
  • Analyse and define customer requirements/new features.
  • Develop technical architecture, service designs, data schemas and data designs, technical solutions, message flows.
  • Write technical proposals, feasibility studies.
  • Liaise between software implementation team and customer technical team; provide techical support for the project delivery.
  • Define and develop test strategy, acceptance test concepts and procedures.
  • Support fault analysis and resolution.

Technical Knowledge

  • Directory Protocols (X.500, LDAP).
  • Any Enterprise DBMS.
  • GSM service delivery platforms: HLR, Intelligent Network (SCPs), SMSC, VMS
  • Unix systems/scripting
  • Data modelling
  • Network protocols

Role Experience

  • Providing lead technical role for delivering applications and solutions.
  • Working with customers and software development teams to understand project requirements and provide solutions to meet customer needs
  • Technical prime for project delivery.
  • Experience in software design and development may be useful.
