SA220 - Solutions Architect

To establish NSN (Apertio) with customers and partners as the leading technology supplier of open Subscriber Data Management (SDM) products for the communications industry

Key Result Areas

  • To increase NSN product and system solutions sales for Subscriber Data Management (SDM) products, utilising wide experience in technologies with defined customers and prospects in proactive sales and marketing support activities.
  • Delivery of technically successful customer sales and trials of NSN Subscriber Data Management (SDM) products

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain technical relationships with customers & partners through-out the sales and commercial deployment lifecycle of NSN Subscriber Data Management (SDM) products
  • Interface with customers in a pre-sales capacity to formulate appropriate technical and product responses (i.e., bids, requests for proposals, etc.) to customer needs and requirements
  • Work with the customer to define the best solution architecture based on NSN Subscriber Data Management (SDM) product technology, and where necessary other NSN or 3rd party technology to meet their needs
  • Providing viable business solutions to customers demonstrating their value with focus on both technology and commercial.
  • In deployment and thereafter, work with the customer, partner and professional services team to ensure that the implemented solution adheres to the agreed architecture
  • Provide customer requirements and desires to Product Managers to aid in the definition of product Roadmaps
  • Support competitive technical analysis activities of product managers
  • Work in conjunction with NSN Solution Sales Management (SSM) Converged Core (CC) sales to achieve sales goals
  • Work in conjunction with NSN SSM CC sales to provide technical and commercial support
  • Develop necessary technical sales presentations, collateral and demonstrations

Key Skill Sets

  • BS in engineering, computer science, or appropriate related experience required
  • 8+ years industry experience related to telecommunications networks
  • Direct experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Mobile core network architecture, design and/or roll out. Including components such as MSCs, HSS/HLRs, VLRs, CAMEL SCPs
    • Policy and network authentication systems such as AAA, BSF, PCC, NAS, Radius
    • ngNetwork architectures such as IMS, SOA, LTE & SAE
    • Fixed Mobile Network convergence
    • Prepaid systems for IN networks
    • GSM network architecture
    • ANSI/CDMA network architecture
    • Software architecture experience in conceptualization, definition and development of telecommunications based products and services
    • Participating in telecommunications standards bodies or industry forum groups
  • Experience with strategic analysis and planning with financial acumen; able to recognize implications of business and technical decisions
  • Team worker; able to lead and influence others to achieve objectives
  • Experience and comfort giving presentations to customers and large organizations

  • Willing to travel at short notice both internationally and domestically (up to 30% of time)
