Apertio One-HLR

Apertio One-HLR (Home Location Register) provides all the standard functionality of a combined HLR and AuC (Authentication Centre). It is built on a highly distributed, replicated architecture, providing excellent reliability and performance, with up to 10 times the reliability and 5 to 10 times the performance of traditional switch-based systems.

Because the architecture separates transaction and data processing, the solution allows new signalling and transaction processing capacity to be added without requiring an increase in subscriber data storage capacity, and vice versa.

One-HLR provides a highly extensible, resilient and cost-effective multi-node framework that can be viewed by the rest of the GSM network as a single logical entity, removing the need for MSCs to be configured with IMSI or MSISDN routing data and simplifying administration. Apertio One-HLR is an ideal choice as an evolutionary replacement for proprietary HLR systems. It is massively scalable, and offers efficient solutions ranging from less than 1 million to more than 100 million subscribers.

Apertio One-HLR is implemented as an open system leveraging the power of the Apertio One-NDS to ensure that all subscriber and service data is available in real time to external systems. As well as the open standards supported by One-NDS, One-HLR also supports key standards such as GSM 97, GPRS, SIGTRAN and CAMEL phase 3.
